Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Wavelength Tuition! We are excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child to help them achieve their academic goals. In order to ensure that our relationship is productive and mutually beneficial, we have put together the following terms and conditions. These terms outline the expectations for our tuition services, including fees, scheduling, and confidentiality. We hope that these terms will provide clarity and help to ensure that our partnership is a successful one. Please take a moment to review these terms, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to working with you!

1.    Introduction: This document outlines the terms and conditions that govern the services offered by Wavelength Tuition.

2.    Scope of services: Wavelength Tuition offers classroom based, online & one-to-one tuition services to students from Year 7 to Year 13; from secondary school inductions for Year 7, to intensive A-Level revision courses.

3.    Fees and payment: The session rate for tuition services is quoted on each individual courses page. Payment is due in advance of the session in order to confirm your place, and can be made by BACS or through the website. Any additional fees, such as for materials, will be clearly communicated on each courses page. 1-to-1 tuition must be bought in chunks of 5, 10 or 20 hours, any unused hours will be refunded upon termination of tuition services.

4.    Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Shows for 1-to-1 Tuition: We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise where you need to cancel or run late to a booking. To ensure fairness to both our tutors and students, we have established the following policies:

4a. Cancellation: Cancelling or rescheduling tuition sessions must be done with 48 hours notice, after such time we will not consider ourselves obligated to process a refund.

4b. Lateness: If you are late to a session please contact your tutor in the first instance. Our tutor has no obligation to overrun the initial session end time. If you are running 15 minutes late or longer without making contact, this will count as a "No-Show", and our tutor is not obligated to wait past this point.

4c. No-Shows: If you fail to attend a scheduled session without prior notice, you will be charged full price. If there are extenuating circumstances then please email info@wtuition.co.uk, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

5. Cancellation and No-Shows for Group Courses: Schedules for group sessions, in classroom or online, are communicated on the course page. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise where you need to cancel or run late to a booking. To ensure fairness to both our tutors and students, we have established the following policies:

5a. Cancellation: Cancelling group course bookings must be done with 7 days notice, after such time we will not consider ourselves obligated to process a refund.

5b. Lateness: If you are late to a booking please contact info@wtuition.co.uk in the first instance. Our tutor has no obligation to postpone the start time of the booking, or to overrun the initial booking end time. If you are running 15 minutes late or longer without making contact, this will count as a "No-Show", and our tutor is not obligated to wait past this point.

5c. No-Shows: If you fail to attend a scheduled booking without prior notice, you will be charged full price. If there are extenuating circumstances then please email info@wtuition.co.uk, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

6. Tutor Cancellation and Lateness: Whilst we encourage all our tutors to be punctual, we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise where they need to cancel or run late to a session.

6a. Cancellation: If your tutor needs to cancel a session, they will make every effort to reschedule the session at your convenience. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund for the cancelled session, regardless of the notice period.

6b. Lateness: If our tutor is running late, we ask that they try to make up the time at the end of the session.  You or your tutor may decide that it would be better to make up the lost session time at another point rather than refund the session. This is an option you can discuss directly with your tutor. In circumstances like these, you will be charged for the full session as the time has been accounted for elsewhere. If your tutor is running 15 minutes late or longer without notifying you, you can count them as  a "No-Show". If this happens all you need to do is exit the session, email us at info@wtuition.co.uk and we will look into it. If we decide your tutor is a no-show, you will not be charged for the session.

7.    Confidentiality: Wavelength Tuition is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of our students and their personal information.

8.    Limitation of liability: Wavelength Tuition will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by students as a result of our tuition services.

9.    Termination: Wavelength Tuition reserves the right to terminate tuition services in the event of circumstances, such as non-payment or disruptive behaviour.

10.    Changes to terms and conditions: Wavelength Tuition reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time.
